The title UPRISING reflects two interconnected meanings: the first, intrinsic to sound, is the ascending energy of harmonics emerging from the low notes—a central gesture of the piece; the second, more poetic, evokes the primary meaning of ‘uprising’ in English, a tumultuous rebellion that erupts with force.
