Perspectives of Growth for variable percussion ensemble and electronics is inspired by The Limits to Growth (1972), a manifesto on economy and civilization that still echoes today. The music mirrors a process of expansion and transformation, evolving from order to entropy. Layered canons performed by the percussion ensemble grow in density, while electronics amplify and distort the texture. Sound moves from deep, resonant tones to bright metallic ones, making the experience of reaching a threshold both audible and emotionally tangible. The electronic component reinforces this buildup while introducing unpredictable, glitch-like disruptions.
